European Assessment Document
EAD 331668-00-0601 - Glass, basalt, aramid, carbon, PBO and steel rovings for fibre-reinforced anchor spikes
In short
EAD 331668-00-0601 is the EOTA European Assessment Document for glass, basalt, aramid, carbon, pbo and steel rovings for fibre-reinforced anchor spikes. Amstelfy Technical Solutions tests fibre rovings used as anchor spikes with FRCM, CRM and FRP strengthening systems against this EAD in its ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory in Amstelveen (NAC-037-TL): tensile properties of the roving and the impregnated spike, pull-out resistance from the substrate and durability (alkaline, saline, humidity). The test reports follow the EAD clause structure so a Technical Assessment Body can use them directly for the European Technical Assessment; Amstelfy does not issue ETAs itself. Within its ISO/IEC 17065 scope (NAC-026-PPS) Amstelfy can also act as the product certification body for this product family.
What we assess
- tensile properties of the roving and the impregnated spike
- pull-out resistance from the substrate
- durability (alkaline, saline, humidity)
Products covered
- fibre rovings used as anchor spikes with FRCM, CRM and FRP strengthening systems

Route to market
Products covered by an EAD are placed on the EU market with a European Technical Assessment issued by a Technical Assessment Body (TAB), followed by the AVCP tasks of a Notified Body and the manufacturer's Declaration of Performance and CE marking. Amstelfy performs the assessment tests, prepares the test reports in the EAD's clause structure and coordinates the test plan with the TAB; Amstelfy does not issue ETAs.
