What is a European Technical Assessment?
A European Technical Assessment (ETA) is a document providing information about the performance of a construction product to be declared in relation to its essential characteristics. ETAs are issued by Technical Assessment Bodies (TABs) based on European Assessment Documents (EADs).
ETAs are particularly important for innovative construction products that are not (or not fully) covered by a harmonized European standard (hEN), providing a route to CE marking under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR).
