Laboratory Technician — Mechanical Testing

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our testing team in Amstelveen. You will perform mechanical, physical, and durability tests on construction products including fasteners, composites, and insulation materials according to European harmonized standards.
Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical and physical tests (tensile, shear, pull-out, bending) per EN/ISO standards
- Prepare test specimens and configure test rigs
- Record, analyse, and report test data accurately
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
- Support quality management and ISO 17025 compliance
- Contribute to method validation and development of new test capabilities
Requirements
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- Experience working in an accredited testing laboratory
- Knowledge of European construction product standards (EN, EAD)
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
Nice to Have
- Experience with universal testing machines (Instron, Zwick, MTS)
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 quality management systems
- Understanding of CE marking and CPR requirements
