About the Role
We are looking for an experienced sustainability professional to join our ISO 17029 accredited verification body on a part-time basis. You will verify Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for construction products, ensuring compliance with EN 15804+A2 and programme operator requirements.
Responsibilities
- Verify EPDs for construction products per EN 15804+A2 and ISO 14025
- Review LCA studies and background data for completeness and accuracy
- Assess compliance with programme operator-specific rules (PCRs)
- Issue verification statements and manage verification files
- Stay current with developments in EN 15804, PEF, and Level(s) framework
Requirements
- MSc in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field
- 3+ years experience in LCA, EPD development, or EPD verification
- In-depth knowledge of EN 15804+A2 and ISO 14025
- Understanding of EPD programme operators (EPD International, IBU, etc.)
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have
- ISO 17029 or ISO 14065 verification experience
- Familiarity with LCA software (SimaPro, GaBi, openLCA)
- Knowledge of the EU Taxonomy and sustainable finance regulations
