Independent EPD Verification for LCA Practitioners
You build the LCA and draft the EPD for your clients; we verify it. Amstelfy Technical Solutions is listed by The International EPD System as an accredited certification body (ISO/IEC 17029:2019, NAC-006-VV) and is recognised by Stichting MRPI as a verification bureau for MRPI®-EPD certificates. Amstelfy does not prepare LCAs or EPDs, so we are not a competitor of your consultancy.
What you can expect
- Written findings you can act on. Each finding names its location in your documents, the requirement it refers to (GPI, PCR or EN 15804+A2) and the action expected. Responses and closures are tracked in the same list.
- One point of contact for the whole verification, from scoping to the signed statement.
- Document-based, remote verification. Site visits only where the programme rules call for them or where primary data cannot be substantiated otherwise.
- Confidentiality. Your model, your client's production data and the background report are handled under the confidentiality requirements of ISO/IEC 17029.
- Language. Findings, statements and reports in English; correspondence also in Dutch and Turkish.

What to send
- LCA background report written for verification
- Data collection sheets with mass and energy balances
- Access to the model or exported calculation files, with a dataset list and versions
- Draft EPD in the programme format
- PCR and c-PCR versions used
- Production and purchasing records that support the primary data

EPDs made with pre-verified tools
For EPDs generated with a pre-verified EPD tool, the verification concentrates on the product-specific inputs, the correct use of the tool within its validated scope, the plausibility of the results and the EPD text, following the programme's rules for tool-based EPDs.
Clients with many EPDs
For manufacturers that develop and manage EPDs at scale, The International EPD System also offers EPD process certification, which Amstelfy provides under ISO/IEC 17065 (NAC-026-PPS). The certified process replaces third-party verification of each individual declaration and is audited periodically. See EPD process certification.
Impartiality
The verification is contracted for the EPD owner's declaration. Amstelfy does not recommend or refer clients to particular LCA practitioners, and the choice of practitioner has no influence on how an EPD is verified.
