Amstelveen, 29 October 2026 — Amstelfy Technical Solutions has been recognised by Stichting MRPI as an official verification bureau (erkend toetsingsbureau, MRPI licence holder) for MRPI®-EPD certificates. Amstelfy is now listed among MRPI's recognised verifiers, with Burak Yorulmaz as the responsible verifier.
What MRPI is
Stichting MRPI is the Dutch programme operator for independently verified environmental data of construction products. MRPI®-EPD certificates are Environmental Product Declarations based on a life-cycle assessment in accordance with EN 15804+A2, and they are accepted into the Nationale Milieudatabase (NMD) — the database used for the mandatory environmental performance calculation of buildings (MPG) in the Netherlands. MRPI has issued more than 250 EPD certificates to manufacturers and trade associations.
What it means for manufacturers
Manufacturers who sell in the Netherlands and elsewhere in Europe can now use one verifier for both routes: the MRPI®-EPD for the Dutch market and the Nationale Milieudatabase, and the EPD under The International EPD System for Europe and beyond, where Amstelfy is a listed accredited certification body. Both verifications are performed under Amstelfy's ISO/IEC 17029:2019 accreditation as a validation and verification body (NAC-006-VV).
How the verification works
The verification is document-based. The LCA background report, the data and the draft EPD are reviewed against EN 15804+A2 and the programme rules; findings are issued in writing and corrected by the manufacturer or its LCA practitioner; the verification statement is then signed and the manufacturer registers the EPD with the programme operator. To remain independent, Amstelfy does not prepare the LCA or the EPD it verifies.
Amstelfy Technical Solutions is also a member of ECO Platform and of the European Rebar Council, and operates an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited construction products testing laboratory in Amstelveen.
