Amstelfy Joins the European Rebar Council

Amsterdam, March 2026 — Amstelfy Technical Solutions is proud to announce its membership in the European Rebar Council (ERC), a sectorial alliance of the European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA) dedicated to accelerating the adoption of composite rebar across the European construction and infrastructure sectors.

Our Role in the Composite Rebar Industry

As an ISO 17025 and ISO 17065 accredited testing and certification laboratory, Amstelfy will support the composite rebar industry through its core competencies in:

    • European Technical Assessment (ETA) projects — guiding manufacturers through the ETA process for composite rebar products
    • CE marking certification — ensuring compliance with the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and relevant assessment documents
    • Factory Production Control (FPC) activities — conducting audits, establishing FPC systems, and supporting digitalisation of quality management
    • Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) verification — verifying the environmental performance of composite rebar products in accordance with EN 15804

    Aligned with EAD 260023-00-0301

Amstelfy's services for composite rebar manufacturers are aligned with EAD 260023-00-0301 — the European Assessment Document covering fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) bars made of carbon, glass, basalt, and aramid fibres for the reinforcement of concrete — as well as other relevant standards and assessment documents applicable to this rapidly growing product category.

    Why Composite Rebar?

Composite rebar offers significant advantages over traditional steel reinforcement, including superior corrosion resistance, extended service life, lightweight handling, and reduced lifecycle carbon impact. With the ERC's mission to drive standardisation and certification efforts at the European level, Amstelfy is well-positioned to help manufacturers navigate the technical and regulatory pathway to CE marking and market access throughout Europe.

    Looking Ahead

We look forward to contributing to the Council's work and supporting manufacturers in bringing high-performance, sustainable composite reinforcement solutions to the European market.
